What if you can make a couple thousand dollars using Facebook and another free app? You don’t need a product, website, or email list. It’s also not crypto, stocks, or Amazon. Robby Blanchard was once a struggling gym owner who claims to have unlocked the secret to making thousands of dollars online. Can this #1 Clickbank affiliate help you make thousands of dollars online or will you be the one making him richer?
Commission Hero is an affiliate marketing course by Robby Blanchard that teaches how to make $1,000 per day on Clickbank, using Facebook as the main traffic source. He claims that his three-step strategy has helped over 11,000 students make over 100 million dollars (collectively) and enjoy time freedom with just a laptop and Wi-Fi. The course costs $997 for a onetime payment or you can also pay in three installments of $497 (billed 30 days apart). There’s a 14-day refund policy, but only those who did not access the Facebook group and start the modules are eligible. Commission Hero is a comprehensive program that includes
- 6 weekly live sessions
- 12-module easy-to-digest content
- research materials and tools, PDF, downloadable content,
- live masterclass, coaching, and Q&A calls.
Robby Blanchard is the number 1 Clickbank affiliate in the world, the creator of Commission Hero, and the CEO of Blanchard Media. He grew up in Acton, Massachusetts, and earned his MBA at Fitchburg State College, also in Massachusetts. His first business after college was CrossFit Reach, but the competition was tough, so he realized he needed online marketing to stand out. So, he started learning more about running Facebook ads. He discovered Clickbank shortly after and promoted his products there, too. At this point he was already making thousand dollars per week. In 2017, he was already making $10,000 weekly and was named the Clickbank Affiliate of the Year in 2019. Robby has a huge social media presence. He has over 1 million followers on Instagram, and his YouTube videos have been watched over 6.4 million times. His success has also been recognized by big news outlets like Disrupt Magazine, Fox, and the Wall Street Journal. Robby Blanchard’s net worth is estimated to be at least $10 million from his affiliate commissions and Commission Hero sign up fees.
Commission Hero: Clickbank Affiliate Marketing Using Facebook As Traffic Source
Commission Hero is one of the more popular affiliate marketing courses. Over 11,000 signed up for the program since it launched on March 31, 2020. It is 4.4-star rated on Trustpilot based on the 65 reviews given. What I like about Commission Hero is that it’s a comprehensive course. Robby did a great job compiling relevant topics that new affiliates who wish to use Facebook as a traffic source need to know. The modules include setting up the account in Facebook Meta’s business manager section. It also includes campaign trackers, resources, tools, and an introduction to the Comely software.
Although reviews are mostly positive, I noticed that the recent posts on Trustpilot are 1-star reviews that complain about getting scammed. The most recent was written by Imran Udder on October 28, 2023. He claims to have been scammed by Robby of his hard-earned money. He even provided an order number as a proof. Commission Hero debunked this claim on the same day, saying they couldn’t find him in the records and there was no way he could have been scammed. Technically, the course is legit. Robby seems to be unbothered by these scammer claims against him.
The biggest issue with Commission Hero is the business strategy itself. Affiliate marketing is one of the most competitive business models out there, and Robby is not completely honest about it. ClickBank alone has over 100,000 affiliates. All of them are competing for traffic. If you’re a new affiliate, you’re likely in the back end of the race. You’ll need to find the right ad strategy and spend on it on boosting your visibility. Affiliate commission isn’t a stable and consistent income source. Making a thousand dollars per day isn’t easy either. According to Authority Hacker, Clickbank affiliates make $15 to $50 per sale. At this rate, Robby’s students should make at least 20 $50 referrals to hit the $1,000 mark. He talks about how to run Facebook ads to generate traffic to his affiliate links, but he rarely talks about the costs. The reality is that running Facebook ads is very expensive. According to WebFX, Facebook ads cost $0.26 to $30 per click or $1 to $3 per thousand impressions. If you’re a new ad account with only a few dollars to spend, Facebook might smack you down or throttle you with low-quality traffic.
Ad accounts, especially new ones, are prone to getting banned. According to Flexxable, Facebook usually bans ad accounts that have an unusually high number of “hide posts” or angry reactions. These are factors you have no control over. Accounts with ads that have been denied multiple times are also at risk of bans. I’m not a hundred percent sold on Robby’s solution for retrieving banned accounts. His strategy is to file an appeal with a screenshot attachment and explain to Facebook that they’re wrong about banning you. Subject to the findings of the Facebook representative, he says the account can be reinstated within the day (others take weeks). I’d have to say that’s not entirely true. It’s possible, but it’s not that easy. Robby experienced it himself that he once appealed 30 times before his account was reinstated. His strategy is basically to try and try until it falls into the “right” hands. But if it doesn’t? You’ll have to create a new account and start again from scratch. A single user can only create up to 25 ad accounts and assign 25 admins and analysts, according to AdEspresso.
Commission Hero can still be worth getting. It’s one of the less expensive affiliate courses with a comprehensive program. Robby Blanchard is one of Clickbank’s top-performing affiliates. So, a mentorship under him is definitely worth something. What I would warn about are Robby’s promises. I wouldn’t recommend Clickbank affiliate marketing using Facebook ads as the main traffic source for beginners. Running ads on Facebook is very expensive. WebFX estimates that the average monthly spend on Facebook ads is around $3,000 for one ad account. You need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to see success in your campaigns. That’s on top of the program cost.
Instead of selling other people’s products, why not build your digital assets and rent them out once they’re ranked on Google? You can also generate leads from these digital assets and sell them at 85% to 90% profit margin. Unlike affiliate marketing, this business model makes continuous and predictable passive income. No need to spend on expensive ads that may not give you a return on your investment.
