Today, I am so thrilled to introduce five new monthly columnists who’ll be contributing to Simple Mom on a regular basis.  They really know their stuff, and I’m so honored that they’ll join me this year in making Simple Mom an even greater place to find encouragement and practical ideas for managing your home.

Corey Allan, writing about Taking Care of Yourself: Relationships

Who would’ve thought we’d have a guy contributing to Simple Mom?  But I’m so glad we do, because we can most certainly learn from a man’s perspective.  Corey’s a marriage coach, a licensed family therapist, and he talks about sex (among many other things) on his blog, Simple Marriage.  Seriously.  Your husband will love it if you subscribed.

Maya Bisineer, writing about Green and Frugal Living

Maya is a busy woman, writing about her geeky side, her experience in living a balanced life, and Memetales, (in my opinion) an awesome start-up as an online picture book bazaar!  How creative of her.  Sign up for free and be inspired.  And I look forward to her creative bent towards writing about how to be green and frugal as a family.

Lisa Byrne, writing about Taking Care of Yourself: Health

I’m so inspired by Lisa, a health counselor and teacher.  She’s received training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is a fancy way of saying she’s learned from guys like Dr. Andrew Weil.  But she’s also a regular mom, and she writes about her passion of helping moms live a balanced life at The WellGrounded Life.  Seriously, readers – we’ve got a great  motivator on board with Lisa.

Joan Henegar, writing about Kids

Joan rocks.  I’m inspired by knowing her personally, and her darling family is a blessing to mine.  With two young children under six, she’s already had a lot of personal experience of parenting in the trenches, making the most of each situation, and raising well-mannered, creative children.  I’m also thrilled to announce that she’s the writer for the newly-launched Simple Kids – the first branch of Simple Mom.  Subscribe, and be motivated to know your children well.

You can read even more about all the columnists here.

Thanks, again, to so many of you who applied for the columnist positions.  Simple Mom has such a vibrant, talented, and loyal community as its foundation, and I’m enormously blessed to write for each of you.

This looks very promising! Looking forward to reading the new columnists’ pieces. So far I’ve checked their websites and am especially waiting to read a post from Lisa Byrne – I desperately need some motivation and guidance about taking care of myself.

Hi All,

I appreciate the excitement and welcomes so far :)

I am truly excited to be a of such a great team of monthly columnists here on Simplemom. I look forward to sharing here – on a blog I have always loved for it’s quality content and valuable comments (have you seen the comments on the most recent family movies post yet??)!

I also wanted to say hello to Corey, Elizabeth, Lisa and Bryne. I look forward to learning a whole lot for you all. And Tsh, thank you for calling my startup idea “awesome” – it means a LOT when it comes from someone like you :)

Wow, what a welcome. I’m thrilled to be part of Tsh’s team. This site – and the other four columnists – are truly an invaluable source of inspiration and solutions. I look forward to lots of sharing and learning.

And @Mary, no, my blog was not hacked. Well, I guess it was. By me. I’m not a tech wiz by any stretch, but I was trying to pretty up the joint and ran into trouble. It will be its old self by tomorrow!

I know a comment was made about “Tinks Mom”…when I clicked on the link I was greated by a page of profanity & psychobabble…perhaps that is what happened to the other individual that posted….I really don’t think it is the blog your described in new columnist post…., I tried to google “tinks mom” & after the computer went thru some gyrations, got the same site…made me wonder…sorry, don’t mean to cause problems, but I really think it’s not the right site….

Yowza – profanity and psychobabble? No one wants to read that. I have been trying to redesign a bit, but I don’t know what would account for that.

Ahhhh Corey Allan, seriously, you can’t get a better writer about stuff that matters than Corey. He is an awesome writer, and knows his stuff. I know because I have kept his couch warm as he helped me get to the best place ever in my marriage. WONDERFUL counselor, coach, blogger, and person. There is none better. Good for you for having him here.
