I had such a great time visiting the topic of cloth diapering with you this week. Thanks for all your participation, and thank you to the vendors giving away their diapers to Simple Mom readers. The giveaway ends tonight at 11:59 EST, so you still have time to enter!
The links today are all on a separate page on the blog. I’ve decided to create a cloth diapering page under the “resources” section here, so that you can reference it often to do your cloth diaper exploring.
So here it is – the cloth diapering page under the Simple Mom resources.
Here’s what I need from you: links you love! Do you have a favorite cloth diaper shop? Have a website that shares your wealth of knowledge about cloth diapering? Please share! Do so in the comments section here. I can’t guarantee a link, but I promise to consider it.
I want to give a special thank you to the readers out of the diapering stage of life. Thanks for enduring a week about diapers! I appreciate your patience as we dove deeply into the subject — I think it was helpful to those who needed more information to explore and digest. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be back to general topics about simplifying life at home.

I’m looking for your email address and can not locate it on your website. I have a question for you concerning your eBook. I can be reached at risarjohnson@gmail.com…Thanks.
Here is a WAHM who not only makes cloth diapers but also has a cloth diapering cleaning service!

Oh and some of my favorite diaper shops are:

Monkey Dance is closed currently as she is almost ready to give birth to her 5th child.
I have a site: Cloth Diapers Made Easy that has really helpful, easy “how to’s” for people just getting started with cloth diapers. We are also just starting a whole section of patterns for people wanting to make their own.

My favorite diaper (and natural parenting) store is http://www.momsmilkboutique.com. Their site is easy to navigate, they have a great variety of diapers and other baby supplies (plus some great things just for mama!), they offer free shipping in the US, they always ship promptly, and they have fantastic customer service.

Banana Peels Diapers is where I have purchased a lot of diapers and diapering supplies. Great customer service, and always quick and very reasonably priced shipping:

Hi everyone! Thanks for the link input. Just fyi – be sure and check my resources page, because quite a few of these links are already on there. Thanks.
You have my faves already listed…

Green Acre Designs! LOVE her diapers!!!
Oh well here’s a good site if you’re looking for hemp fabric to make your own inserts….
http://www.hemptraders.com
Try the hemp scraps by the pound. Super cheap! I made some awesome inserts with that stuff!

I’d like to see some info on cloth alternatives to pull-ups. My son is completely potty trained during the day, but I put a pull-up on him at night. I’d like to see a cloth option that’s not a diaper (my 2.5 year old is adamant about being a “big boy”), that a toddler can pull up and down on his own, but that is absorbent enough to function as a diaper at night. I’m sure someone makes these, but I haven’t heard about them.
check out snap-ez cloth trainers!

You can also check my site for Happy Heinys cloth trainers. They function as a pocket diaper but can be purchased with snaps (either on both sides, one side, or not at all).
I LOVE “Soft Cloth Bunz”….. They are a online store but recently opened a brick and mortar store as well. (They just so happen to be in my local area) This summer they will be starting a diaper service too. Super nice and Very quick shipping too!

Itty Bitty Baby Bunz is a favorite of mine. A great variety of products, information, blog, etc. Sherrie is great to work with too!

Wow, what a great compilation of resources!
We started cloth diapering our first baby when she was about 13 months old. We’re looking forward to cloth diapering this 2nd little one from the start! I just ordered my first batch of soap nuts, too, so I’m excited to see how that goes.
Here is my cloth diapering FAQ post on my blog: http://frugalgranola.blogspot.com/2008/10/cloth-diaper-post.html

We ordered our AIOs from Crazy Cloth on Etsy (doesn’t seem to be part of the ClothDiapers Etsy team, so I thought I’d mention her.)
Basic, solid-color, diapers, but a really great price- $8 each for an AIO can’t be beat!

I love reading different perspectives and ideas from different moms. I really liked this one from The Dollar Stretcher:

In particular, I was interested in the portable washing machine that she uses to save time, money and water:

Best selection in Honolulu, Hawaii

My sister and sister in law have their own little bussiness making baby items. They make some great diapers. Here is their blog. http://seamssewneat.blogspot.com/
I’m less obsessed with the cute factor (so far anyway) than I thought I’d be, because I keep thinking they will be covered with clothes most of the time when we are out… BUT, on your links page, under “good diaper brands”, there is a picture of a blue and orange striped one that is so cute I can not stand it. Do you know what brand it is???
That’s a gDiaper, a hybrid diaper. Definitely expensive, but if you were to buy their covers and go through the flushable inserts, you can then use basic prefolds with them. That would save you quite a bit of money using gDiapers.
I’m a first time mom-to-be and seriously considering cloth diapers for our baby who is due in November! This topic is near and dear to my heart! Thank-you for all your words of wisdom! I found the website, http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/ to be very helpful in my search for cloth diapering resources.
Yep, it’s already listed! Thanks though.
I’ve bought all my cloth diapers from
monkeysnugglesdiaper.etsy.com
She has a great selection of unique diapers, and her starter packs are the most affordable around. Plus, you get to support a stay-at-home-mom and buy handmade – what could be better?
Thanks again for this great series, Tsh! I think there are a lot of moms who have learned a lot.
I am going to go ahead and put in a plug for my own store, . We are revamping the product line-up, adding new diapers and accessories almost every day. Plus, we have a great cloth diaper trial I am really proud of!

Several of my faves have already been posted, but here’s one more:
http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/
My fave thing about this site is how it has tons of pictures of the diapers on actual babies – not just the generic pics the diaper brand does.
Yep, it’s already listed. Thanks, though!
Here is a site that compares the costs of various cloth diapers, as well as the cost of disposables: http://www.diaperdecisions.com/cost_of_cloth_diapers.htm
I think it’s great that you are giving some great information for mom’s with young children! I am thankfully beyond the diaper stage, but would have benefited from this discussion!
I love Sweet Little Blessings, run by a mom of 10 who has personally answered my email questions about cloth diapering!
Have also used Diaper Kit.com for easy kits to sew myself!

CutieTooties.com is our local CD (and more) shop and it’s a wonderful place. The owner is so knowledgeable and helpful and she’s got a great selection. She only stocks brands that she’s tried herself (she CD’d her triplets) so you know you’re getting something that will work.

Another vote for diaperswappers.com I have also had success in searching for the diapers I like plus “outlet” Example: thirsties outlet
I want to thank you so very much for your 101 this last week. I am just entering my 5th month of my first pregnancy and since before I even got pregnant I wanted to Cloth Diaper to be eco-friendly and go easy on our finances.
Your links helped immensely and I referenced each one on my links section of my blog but now that you’ve made a separate page (thank you, thank you) I’ll have just the one link …how wonderful.
I really look forward to your blog for time to come! I have enjoyed reading everything you write – especially, the most recent about today’s children and nature …I was a nature child …mother nature was my second mom and I cannot imagine a world that will keep me from exposing my child to the wonders of nature. No matter where we live we’ll find some way to encourage the love and wonder of nature in our future children.
Oh, and by the way, where I link you is at my baby-blog:

I want to thank you so very much for your 101 this last week.

A good place for less expensive great diapers is http://www.raglady.com. You have to fish through all of the other stuff but they have great prices on the cloth diapers they carry, one is a t-shirt fabric like diaper and is good for little babies who don’t soak a diaper in five minutes flat and the other larger diapers are great for all other babies. You also get free shipping at this point and they send 10% off codes a few times a year. After spending a lot on really thick dipes that don’t work this was a God-send for a budget minded mama.
