The NYT interactive is interesting. But I find it very hard to believe! I am a married woman with 4 children under the age of 18 and according to this there are only 878,000 other families like mine in the entire United States!?! I feel like I personally know so many families of 3 or 4 or more children, so perhaps that’s warping my perspective. I’d love to hear what other people say about it.
