Today’s weekend giveaway comes from sponsor Hard Lotion. Renee, the owner of Hard Lotion, sent me a few of her samples to try. Let’s just say I have to fight my six-year-old daughter for autonomy of these products. They are heavenly!
Hard lotion is — well, lotion that’s solid. At room temperature, it rests at a solid temperature, but as soon as it comes in contact with your body, it smooths on, silky as butter. The lotion bars she sent me work beautifully and smell divinely free of chemicals.
My favorite part – there’s only three ingredients in the hard lotion: shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax. That’s it! It’s safe enough to smooth over cracked skin, but works powerfully.
She also sent me a sample of her Au Chocolat lotion bar, with beeswax, coconut oil, and cocoa butter. My daughter loves this one, for obvious reasons.
The two lip balms she sent me also have the three main ingredients — shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax; the peppermint-infused one also has peppermint essential oil. It reminds me of Burt’s Beeswax, but without the icky residue or need to reapply an hour later.
I love the Simply Soothing diaper rash cream as well. With just coconut oil, zinc oxide, and beeswax as its ingredients, goodness knows we don’t need more baby care products full of chemicals.
My favorite product she sent me, though, is the Hair Butter (sweetly named Second Life). Oh, the hair butter. You know how I only wash my hair with baking soda. Well, I think I’ve just replaced my apple cider vinegar rinse with a few dabs of the Hair Butter (with ingredients shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, and orange essential oil). My hair looks amazing with this stuff, if I say so myself. And I love the scent.
To top it all off, Renee stamps each product with a “made on” date. Mine were made about a week ago. Very cool.
