Can I get a shout out for Fall? Leaves, smells, football, six dollar lattes… yes, please.
My condolences to our friends in the North, as I know you associate that first cool breeze with several coming months of slush and numb toes. As for the rest of us, namely where I stand here in Central Texas, we know the season has changed when your coffee is warmer than the air. The combination of the two triggers a nostalgic buzz from which my wife and I look at each other and say, “Aw, yee-uh”, and celebrate the absolute best time of the year.
Just as a beverage tastes better or a sweater suddenly makes sense, music fills a room with an entirely new mood in autumn. Open the windows and your mind just got blown (southerners know what I’m saying here). Needless to say, I love this time of year and am thrilled to breathe it in with a bunch of new tunes. Alas, I share them below in the form of a few lists.

I’ve not been able to stop listening to the Mumford & Sons album, but Below My Feet, especially!! Pure beauty.

I know, right? I was trying to keep it limited with that one. Oddly, I was not as big a fan of Sigh No More, but this is a rare record that I consider truly incredible.
Love your list!!! Grizzly Bear’s “Yet Again” is a totally amazing song, as well as their entire album! Have you listened to Beach House? My husband and I LOVE them, as well! Thanks for the great list!
You know, I had Beach House on my top fall albums, but slid it out at the last minute. I do enjoy them and, yes, Grizzly Bear’s new one is super.
Because it seems we have very similar likes in music , I will step out and point you to the following songs if you haven’t already found them: A.C. Newman “I’m Not Talking”, Patrick Watson “Into Giants” and The Great Lake Swimmers (too many I like of theirs songs to pick one). Keep on listening…!
Please keep sharing these with us, Josh! I love your playlists. I’m familiar with most of the artists but there’s a few I’ve been meaning to listen to, so I’m glad to have the reminder.

Thank you, thank you for posting this. I have been wanting some good music recommendations and didn’t know where to start.
Thanks so much for this list. My hubs and I are headed to the mountains this weekend and I used it to make a playlist for our trip! I am looking forward to your next lists!! (Christmas?!)
