The weirdest advice I have ever been given was to not hold my baby so much as it would spoil him! I don’t consider cuddling & rocking your baby to be anywhere along the lines of spoiling!
I’d love to win these bumpers, I’m due in August & have yet to figure out what I’ll do for a bumper pad for the crib.

I can't really think of anything super crazy at the moment. I guess most of what I hear that I would not do is advice that goes totally against choices we've made. Like using cloth diapers would be crazy or that you should just go by your baby's cues for when to sleep/eat/be awake. As if they just come out knowing what to do when. I really can’t recall any strange advice given to me. There was a lot of differences between what we do now and what our parents did though. It was interesting to learn about all the changes that have happened. I know when my child is grown and having her own children she’ll be telling me that things have changed too.

I could go on and on reading these posts! The craziest advice I was given was to rub Whiskey on a teething child’s gums…NO WAY!

I don’t know if this is weird or not but my mom said I absolutely must keep my son’s ears covered when he was outside when he was a baby or he would get an ear infection.

I think this product is GENIUS!!!

What an awesome product! I’m a new mom and am getting ready to move my baby into her own crib….these would be great! The strangest advice I’ve heard is to wait as long as possible to trim a childs hair because cutting it too soon will cause them to have thicker hair later in life! I don’t know about that….

Once when I was driving around with my son (probably 2 months old at the time) and this guy in the car next to me told me I should face the baby’s car seat forward so he can see me!

Well I had a grown women (in Asia where we live) told me that babies come out of your belly button. Yes, she was serious. I have a full list of other strange things I was told – amazing what people believe just because it was passed down from generation to generation.
