The next giveaway is from Natalie Jost, uber-creative mama and designer. She owns Olive Manna, where she creates Photoshop brushes, fonts, and patterns, and uses them to create note cards, art work, and even envelopes.
Her shopping lists are so creative and unique, and just up the alley of a Simple Mom reader. The lists come in a handy
booklet, and they provide a place to list your needed items, a spot to note the item’s cost, room to check things off, and space up top to bubble in the total dollar amount spent, so that you can see how much you spend in specific stores at-a-glance.
What a great tool for budgeting! I’m thoroughly enjoying mine.
Natalie is giving one Simple Mom reader the coolest gift basket! It includes:
- one shopping list booklet
- one set of four corner bookmarks
- three mini notebooks
- one note card set
- three CD envelopes, and
- four magnetic clips

Another reader will win two prints – “I’m a Green Mom” and “I’m a Simple Mom” (the latter created just for this contest!).

To win, here’s how to enter:
Leave a comment at this post, answering the following question: Which store is your favorite place to shop?
The giveaway is open worldwide, and it lasts until this Friday, May 29. I’ll draw the two winners this weekend.
I hope you win! Check back in a few hours for another giveaway.

Great gift basket!
My favorite store: a toss-up between Barnes & Noble and Target. I know I shoudl say something more “green” or local but I can’t help it, I’m like a kid in a candy store in both of these stores. Good thing I live an hour and a half away from either of them.
I love shopping at Trader Joe’s! Grocery shopping isn’t a chore, when I’m shopping there. I also like Ikea.
I love shopping at Kohl’s. They have excellent sales and great items for everyone in my family.
Thrifts stores are my favorite places to shop. Using coupons, CVS & Target are hard to beat.
I love Ikea but seeing that I don’t have one in my town I don’t get there as often as I would like. Usually my favorite place to shop is Micheals (which our town just got) with my mom or thrift stores. I am always looking for a good deal especially in a town where choices are a bit limited.
Alicia´s last blog post…Rusty Roderick
My favorite place to shop lately is Teavana. I am so spoiled by making their lovely teas for myself and my family and guests. This has become a ritual that brings a bit of peace to my day.

Oh…. it’s a tie between amazon.com and craigslist!
I love to shop at Target. The nearest one is 1 1/2 hours away, so I don’t get there often enough.
Candy M´s last blog post…Happy National Scrapbooking Month!
My favorite place to shop is Barnes & Noble. Or the book section of any store. Not the most practical, because they don’t complete my shopping list, but if I had my way, that would be it. I love books!
Otherwise Target and Sam’s Club get my vote.
I really enjoy online shopping at mountain rose herbs, especially.

These days I would have to say its Target. It has most everything we need and the cheapest diapers that work for both of my kids!
My favorite spot is Target for general things…and for a nice little splurge for the home, I love to browse through the unique antique store, The House at 755 in Holliston. And I am falling in love with etsy.com
love her stuff!!! she’s awesome! thanks for sharing her with us…
as for my favorite store to shop at…. i love shopping at Target, but I really really love shopping at TJ Max and Ross… ;o0

Target.
I love my local grocery store. I can walk there in minutes and although it’s small it has all the essentials.
I love to shop at The Green Tangerine…it’s a scrapbooking/craft supply store. It’s a danger zone for me and my pocket book, so I don’t go there too often!
I love shopping at Ikea! Since I’m on mat leave right now, we often go if it’s a rainy day (planning to go later today, actually). They have fairly yummy, not-too-unhealthy food that’s super-cheap, so we go for lunch then my almost-5-year-old gets to run off steam playing in the ballroom while I take the little guy for a browse in the store. It’s nice to get some me time and I always come away with tons of great home ideas…and usually a few very inexpensive items that are great around the house!

Ikea for home goods, Aldi for groceries, Etsy for great gifts…sorry…one is too hard to pick!

i’d have to say target. we don’t have a whole foods in our town, but i love to shop there, too!
Just one???
I’d have to say Target since I can get a little bit of everything there
I love Anthropologie and am thrilled we finally have one in Canada!
amazon.com
hmmmm, that’s a tough one… the place i’ve been spending most of my money lately is superstore – they have it all – groceries, clothes, baby stuff…
Heather Moll´s last blog post…I love Fridays!
My favorite place to shop? It would have to be Dekalb Farmer’s Market http://www.dekalbfarmersmarket.com/ Great selection at great prices.
Target and Kohl’s.
Ikea, Ikea, Ikea! My whole house is almost decked out in Ikea. Plus I love Target too.
Target it is!!! Love the end caps full of cleareance stuff at AMAZING prices and I love how clean and fun is the store, awesome bed sets, patio furniture, toys , home decor etc etc
Though my favorite places to browse are little antique stores and boutiques, I am most often found roaming the aisles of Target.
Minnesotamom´s last blog post…PB Grahams
My favorite places to shop are little local shops–where I live we have a few great natural food stores, and a little shop called Botanical Indulgence that carries essential oils and healthy home care products. I love to find shops that have similar values that I do.
anja´s last blog post…Bike and Bus with Kids
Target and Goodwill. Love ‘em!!
I love any and all thrift stores. I am a big reduce, reuse and recycle person.
My favorite shops are bookstores. I love Chapters Indigo you can look for a book and flip through it while sipping a starbucks…an awesome way to spend an afternoon (without the kids
).

I love shopping online, but I would say that, truly, my favorite place to shop is Trader Joe’s. I love our local TJ’s in Pleasanton, CA. Just yesterday, I enjoyed a story of one of the cashier’s days at Esalen Institute in Big Sur. The staff is always friendly, helpful and laid-back while still being promptly responsive…they seem to be glad to work there. This seems to be a theme at most of the TJ’s I’ve been to. Along with that, the selection of food is so yummy and innovative. It’s a nourishing place in general.
I love to shop at Publix, because they have the best Buy One Get One Frees… and what makes it better is using a coupon and saving even MORE!! so I can spend it elsewhere, like Target, where I find all the cutest clothes and home decor.. after season, on sale of course!
I like small mom and pop stores. You never know what you are going to find!
My favorite place to shop is my local freecycle – it’s amazing the great items you can find there! As a SAHM, I stress over our budget and now that we’re expecting our second child it’s on my mind even more so I love to try and find things we need or want in great condition for free.
Thanks for this contest – I love this gift set!
I love to shop at IKEA and the local Dollar Store. You can find great arts and craft supplies for next to nothing at the Dollar Store and great storage solutions to contain it all!
I love to shop at Etsy for gifts. And I love any bookstore.
hmph. the contests that make me pick just one favorite. i just cannot do it. target. kohls. world market. i love to shop. so i stay away from all these stores as much as i possibly can! thanks for the great giveaways.
Olive Manna has CUTE stuff! This may be a new favorite! I love shopping at Trader Joe’s–so much fun food! I also spend a lot of time on Etsy.

Kroger. It is actually stuff we need and it will all be gone by the end of the week!
My favorite place to shop changes from time to time depending on what I’m interested in but it is currently Target.
I love to shop at thrift stores because I never know what treasure I will find!
I like Target…one stop shopping!
OOOh what a great guveaway. Well it has to be Target for just about everything, but I just love shopping on Etsy for handmade gifts and art.
I love window shopping at Anthropologie (I’d like to move in!), but love to buy from Etsy and Target.
I love to go to target. They have everything that I need and at good prices. My daughter (4) loves to go there to look for “girlie” stuff with me.
I love Dollar General and Goodwill. You can watch and find good buys!
My (and my 2-yr-old daughter’s) favorite store is Target. They just seem to have everything I need and more importantly, more things I want that I don’t need!
Publix for sure!!
Target… all the way. With Costco coming in at a close second.
Hands down Target…I can get everything in one store and I love it. It helps that I worked there for 10 years too before I decided to be a full time mommy!
My favorite place to shop is easily Super Target. We are there several times a week. I love Natalie’s stuff- great giveaway!
Randa Clay´s last blog post…Judgement
My favorite place to shop in is Aldi because of the low prices and also Garden Fresh Market because they sell lots of products from other countries, not just from US and Canada.
Do on-line stores count? with 3 young toddlers, the shopping has greatly decreased but I love to shop on Etsy. There’s just so many cool and unique things on there. Also, I often use Amazon instead of dragging everyone out to Target or Walmart for a birthday gift or something. It’s much easier, I can get free shipping, and I like to read the reviews on a product before I purchase.
Clara S.´s last blog post…Belated Birthday
Etsy is my absolute favorite place to shop. My friends and family are receiving the coolest gifts now that I know how to find personal, inexpensive things there!
Gosh, just one? It would have to be Target I think. I also love Gymboree for the kids and etsy.
I want to say something boutiquey and original, but if I’m being honest I have to say my favorite store is Target. It always puts me in a good mood.
My favorite place to shop… well, my most FREQUENT shopping haunt is Publix. But I suppose my favorite – if money is no object – is J.Crew.
Sarah´s last blog post…We’re Back!
I t would have to be a toss-up between eBay and Craigslist if I am looking for a deal on something. Lately, I have “discovered” SuperTarget for grocery shopping – they have a large selection of organic products and items I like to buy that I would normally pay twice as much for if I went to Whole Foods.
My favorite place to shop is Ross … I can buy everything from clothes for my family to gifts, home items, etc. I have gotten the best buys – a great Nine West purse retailing for $98 that I got for $7.99, a pair of $90 Chico’s pants for $1.99, and my favorite best buy ever – a $89 Ann Taylor Loft skirt for $0.49!!!! Love Ross!!!! (and the $1 bins at Target & Michael’s – especially when that stuff gets marked down to $0.25!!)

I’m partial to a local store called Dunia Marketplace. It used to be a Ten Thousand Villages store and sells fair trade gifts, crafts, planters, etc. I’m on the board because it’s run as a nonprofit, so I’m biased!
Target…hands down. If I catch it on the right week, I can get groceries, clothes, shoes and kitchen items for a great price. Love it!
Amiyrah´s last blog post…Money Saving Challenge- Holiday weeked edition
I have to say that my favorite place to shop is the grocery store. If it’s a high-end one, so much the better. Whole Foods is one of my favorites!
I have to say…Big Lots! I can find brand name household organization items at a fraction of the cost. I go home with a few goodies and immediately put them to use, and feel very good about it.
I love to shop at The Big Carrot, which is a natural/organic food market here in Toronto. They have the most delicious fresh food, and the BEST selection of natural hair/skin/body products.
Target seems to be one of my favorites right now! I love to find something fun and unexpected on the clearance endcaps!
I love to shop at Hobby Lobby. I like buying material and making my own creations!
I tend to gravitate towards Target, but when it comes to clothes and a splurge, it has to be Nordstrom’s. From the jeans to the shoes to the Cafe, well, it is a great little getaway.
Barnes and Noble (website) or Amazon.com.
Thanks so much,
Maureen (jnomaxx at hotmail dot com)
HI there,
Lovely gift basket!
I love to shop in any bookstore, especially big ones that have couches and a coffee place (you don’t get those where I live…). I love to browse books that I would never search for online. I love the smell of books, the touch of paper. I never leave without buying something.

I’m not much of a shopper, but I buy a lot of books from Amazon, and I spend a lot of time at Target!

In reality, Goodwill. In my daydreams, Anthropolgie.
I’m trying to cut back and do more shopping at thrift stores — or even better, less shopping. But put me down with the Target-o-philes!

If I had money to spend, I’d love to shop at Home Goods or TJMaxx! Otherwise it’s more like Craigslist!
My FAV places to shop are thrift shops and garage sales. i love finding a great deal! Not spending money on junk, but finding what our family needs.
One of my faves is Costco – mainly because I can pick up our staple items there, and the prices are great. We go through a LOT of milk, and the ‘best by’ dates are much longer when I get milk at Costco.
My other fave, though, is the craft section of any store (Target, Michael’s, etc).

Target – they have everything!
My favorite place to shop is Homegoods. There are so many cute things without spending a fortune.
I love Target!!! I always find an excuse to “pick one thing up” there!
My favorite right now? My local Farmers Market – in spring it is so full of possibilities & potential. Love your giveaway today!

for good prices and everything-in-one-place-ness: grocery store–HEB Plus
for fun if I have time to browse: IKEA or any thrift store
I’d have to say Target. Love the gift basket!
I probably shop the most at Hyvee and Fareway, but my favorite place to shop by myself is Barnes and Nobles while sipping a yummy coffee!
I love shopping at Anthropologie, for good deals, Big Lots, Tuesday Morning, and Home Goods.
Target is more fun, but Walmart wastes less gas for me! Occasionally, once or twice a year, we really LOVE taking a trip to the Asian market that’s over an hour away and getting the children some tasty steamed buns while we stock up on Asian rices and other treats… Number 1 would have to be the pasture-based farm 2 miles away.
Costco. lol As a family of 6 I can get so much in one place there!
What a fun giveaway! I love Target – especially the stationary section. I could wander around the aisles at Michael’s or AC Moore for hours!
