Thanks for all the giveaways! Our favorite activity is taking walks in neighborhood parks – peaceful and cheap!
This sounds like a book I would love to have. Our family loves to go to the lake to swim, kayak, fish and relax.
We love going on picnics, either at the park or just in our backyard. Of course, we love swimming also.

The Drive-In!!
We love going on local adventures! Usually with another family or two from our church, we visit local (and semi-local) places like state parks, the zoo, a dairy farm, etc. We haven’t lived here too long, so it’s been grand to join in with other family to learn about the area where we live!

Our family loves to go camping!
My favorite summer activity is camping. I work with high school kids at my church and we have a camp at the end of the summer where my kids can come ( it’s kind of our family vacation)

Anyways, our favorite summer activity would have to be going to the beach, late in the day, once all the crowds have gone, and having the run of the place to ourselves.

Our favorite thing about summer is Family Camp at our church camp in Sequoia National Forest. Three days of outdoor play time! Hiking, swimming, pingpong, campfires, friends, reading — and no cooking or cleaning for Mom to do!!

We love to be with our extended family, whether it’s picnics, barbecues, swimming, or whatever! My husband was military for awhile, so we lived all around the world, but we’d come back to visit in the summer, so for us, summer means extended family socializing!

Hiking and camping, going to the beach. At home we like to find new playgrounds to check out and go the free summer concerts in the area with a picnic dinner.
Just being home together. My husband usually takes some time off of work and it is nice to have the whole family relaxing at home.

we just pull out the water hose, lots of big buckets, cups, spoons… it’s amazing the fun my little ones can create on a summer afternoon!

Our favorite summer activities as a family are the simple things like catching fireflies on a warm night, eating popsicles, enjoying the outdoors, and of course swimming at the pool.

Anything outside. We are out from 7:00 til we just can’t take anymore! It is fabulous.
I love taking advantage of living in Southern California. We’re both teachers so we have the time off to take the kids to see the sights.
We love having fires in our backyard and making s’mores.
We love going for walks in the park around the pond. So peaceful, yet so much fun watching the ducks and just taking it easy.
Running around in the sprinklers and eating popsicles. Nothing beats the spray of the water plus the cold treats for a good cool down.
Being outside just watching my kids explore. Creeks, birds, bugs, the garden – really is idyllic for me because that is how I spent my own childhood.

Hiding inside in the A/C! My son is already complaining about how hot it is and it’s only in the low 90s! I tell him he’s just going to have to get used to it as we live in central Texas.
