The best deal I’ve had lately was a 12 pack of chicken breasts for $2.79. They were on their sell-by date and I took them home and boiled them all that night and fed the family for a week. It was fantastic!

ok, let’s see… {“What’s the latest “great deal” you scored while shopping?”} Well, I would have to say it was the Environmentally/Green bathroom cleaning spray I just picked up at my local health food store…it was under $4 and I totally expected a hefty price for going green (as I have seen so much) I was quite pleased as it cost just the same as regular chemical laden household cleaners for just as much…why pay for nasty toxic chemical?! No need to anymore
new dishes at tj maxx for my new house…dinner plates $4/each, salad plates $3/each, tea cups & saucers $3/each:) i’ve been to tj maxx at least 4 times in the last week too looking for new decorative things and such…so i’m sure the people that work there think i’m a weirdo!

Trader Joes everyday low-priced 2 buck Chuck (almost 3 buck Chuck now!)…it’s guilt-free…if I open a bottle and am super busy and don’t finish it in a timely manner I can repurpose it for cooking without feeling like I’ve wasted a million dollar bottle of wine…and if I forget to buy something to serve guests it can go into a decanter!
I found a navy Brooks Brothers suit in my husbands size at Goodwill, suit coat and pants for $25 no alterations needed! Buy of the century for me. Elisha
The tortilla chips I usually buy at the health food store were 2 for 1 at the normal grocery store! I didn’t even know they carried them (and the regular price is cheaper than what I had been paying).
I got coffee creamer for free! It was on sale and I had a coupon for it. With the sale and the coupon=free. Love free!

I was buying a salt cellar online for my mom for mother’s day at crateandbarrel.com and that was already a good deal, but I found a table runner in our perfect size and color scheme for $9.99. We love it!
I’ve got some good ones! 75% off Crayola items at Rite Aid. We scored some great Color Wonder products, packages of markers, twist up crayons, etc. all for pennies on the dollar.

I also got a new hairdryer for $2.50 (was priced at $40) at the same time!
greatest deal EVER….I was at Filenes recently. Found a gorgeous cashmere wrap origianally priced at $258. Was marked down and I paid $38 final price. YIPPEE!

I have gotten lots of great cereal deals lately and since my crew lives on cereal for morning breakfasts and chooses it over pancakes, waffles, eggs or pretty much anything else, getting boxes for 50-80 cents is great!
JoAnn’s had a great sale on Memorial Day weekend and I got everything I needed to make an awesome purse (including a zipper) for just under $20!

I took my son birthday shopping for clothes and showed him how to power shop and get the most for his money…we found at the top brand name teenage stores: jeans originally 65 marked down to 12, a 1/2 price $10 belt, a school shirt for $15, buy one, get one free t-shirts, a 1/2 price bathing suit, and a bracelet on clearance for $1. We didn’t even spend the whole $100 before we were finished. Good deals and even better…good teaching moment.
My local gardening center was recently hit hard by a bad rain storm with strong winds. Several of their potted trees were over-turned and damaged. I found 1 tree that despite being completely uprooted from it’s pot, still looked like it had some life left in it. It’s a flowering white dogwood that they had marked down from $40 to $9, so I decided to bring it home and plant it in our front yard. But even better than that, when I brought it up to the register to pay for it, it rung up as costing only 2 cents. I called the employee’s attention to it, and she told me that the price seemed wrong, but that if it came up as 2 cents, that’s what she was going to sell it to me for. Needless to say, this gardening center gets a lot of repeat business from me.

most recent best buy was a few weeks ago at Winn Dixie — Kelloggs frosted mini wheats were on sale BOGO and I had a vocalpoint coupon for BOGO, so I got both boxes free (an $8.18 value – winn dixie is way overpriced, but this was a great deal). I got the new chocolate mini bites – my boys love them as a (semi) healthy snack — at least they have fiber, lol
We just got a new store in town and they gave out coupons for $6 off a $20 or more then offered a free reusable bag (it was a nice big one too) I got 8lbs of chicken and bread and lunch meat for $14 and a $3 dollar bag for FREE! plus they gave me more of the same coupons at checkout for the next time I shoped!
Last great deal was $45 worth of stuff from CVS for $0 out of pocket, making 99 cents.
I wanted a bud vase and instead of going to a big box store I went to my local “Bible for Missions” thrift store – I got the vase for $0.50 and it went towards buying a Bible in a persecuted country. Can’t get much better deal than that!!
80 dollars worth of groceries for 40 last night and a pair of shoes that are being shipped as I write this for 20.00 that were 130.00!!
My grocery store bags and discounts produce that is still good but they are no longer able to sell it full price. This morning I got 2 heads of lettuce, 2 cucumbers, 2 cantaloupes and 6 green peppers for $3.00!!
I got 54 packs of hotdogs, 16 A-1 Sauces, 15 Hunt’s Ketchups, 12 Kraft Dressings for $3.13 after coupons and I got back a $3 off my next order meaning I paid $0.13 for all of it!

Just last week I used five $1/1 coupons for Kraft BBQ sauce, which was on sale for $1 each. I paid nothing for the BBQ sauce, but I got a catalina for $2.50, which almost paid for a gallon of milk.

At a neighborhood yard sale, I got the perfect small side table, metal top with wrougth iron legs for $5! I love these coupon organizers. Mine is from the dollar store and I have to replace it frequently.
Winter coats, snowpants, and gloves as a set for both kids – 80% off on the clearance rack at Kohls. I’m not always good at getting the right sizes ahead of time, but I couldn’t go wrong with those prices!

Okay, so it wasn’t the best deal in the world but it was just this morning and it did make me smile. I needed trash bags and had a coupon for $1 off. Lo and behold, while I was shopping I found that the store had a store coupon for another dollar off. I love doubling coupons, especially when it takes so little effort!
The most recent was a grocery trip that would have cost me $88.47 without coupons, but only ended up costing me $46.82! I was IMPRESSED!

I pair of yoga type pants and a skirt – both light knits I can wear all summer while this belly continues to get huge thanks to kid #2.

A FREE digital photo book on Shutterfly…only had to pay about $8 for shipping and handling. I made a family recipe collection book for my mom for Mother’s Day. It was a traditional scrapbook project I started in 2004, then I had two kids so it sat in my scrapbooking closet until recently. Shutterfly offered the free photo book so I knew exactly what project to use….it was fabulous and will be a great keepsake to hand down through the years!

I found a free nightstand for my girls’ room on the way to the city-wide yard sale! Now their books are on the table instead of the floor, and everyone is happier.

Last week I spent about $13 at RiteAid and in a few weeks I’ll get my rebate back for $21.98-getting products for free and even making a little money!
Back in my couponing days and when Albertson’s grocery was around the corner from me, I got $400 worth of groceries for around $60. I sure miss Albertson’s triple coupon weekends.
