Photo Books: A Great Tool to Reduce Clutter & Make Sentimental Gifts

by Tsh on November 14, 2008

in giveaways

This giveaway is now closed – but you can still go here for a free scrapbook until November 30.

Before we moved overseas, we created four photo books.  We wanted to keep our photo collection streamlined and lightweight, so this seemed like the logical solution.  And we get compliments on them all the time.

Today, Inkubook is treating Simple Mom readers!  Everyone can create their own free digital scrapbook online – all you have to pay for is shipping.  Yes, everyone includes you – so get started!

Here’s how to get yours:

1. Sign up with Inkubook and start making your free digital scrapbook.  You have from now until November 30.

2. If you want, use the “Invite Friends” feature, and invite someone to join Inkubook so they can submit a few photos or page designs to include in your book.  Inkubook will also send them a promotion code to use for a free digital scrapbook.

3. When you’re finished with your free digital scrapbook, enter this promotion code at checkout: PBK266.  You pay only shipping charges to receive your free book.  Basic shipping options are $6.99 for Media Mail and $8.99 for Standard Ground.

Want an even sweeter deal?

Inkubook is also giving away FIVE free books of any style and size to five Simple Mom readers. You can do photo books, art books, recipe collections, and more.  These would make wonderful Christmas gifts – just think of your kids’ grandparents drooling at the site of these.

To win, simply leave a comment on this post, answering this question – what are you reading these days?

To get a second entry, mention this giveaway on your blog and let me know about it.  Sorry, no third entry this time – I’m a bit wiped out organizing all the secret code entries from the last giveaway a few days ago.  I’m sure you all understand.

This giveaway will end on Sunday, November 16 at midnight CST – it’s just a few days, so be sure and spread the word right away.

I hope you win!

Thank you so much. Those photo books are great! :)

Since I’m a full-time student right now, my reading revolves around textbooks. When I have a free moment, I like to glance over a Backpacker mag to daydream about a time when I will not be stuck in a library. The last book I (re)read was probably Plain Truth, by Jodi Picoult – I just love anything she’s written.

41 Princess Leia November 14, 2008 at 7:56 am

I sadly don’t get much time to read any real books (just blogs and emails!), but I managed some time over the weekend to read a book I’d picked up at the Southern Festival of Books in Nashville a few weeks back. It was written by a man who had helped build the Saturn V rockets, so my rocket scientist self was intrigued, despite the rest of the booth making me suspicious about his religious leanings.

Well, not only was it a thinly veiled advertisement for why the KJV was the only true Bible, it was also HORRIBLY edited. By far my favorite gaffe was when he was talking about after the rapture. Apparently non-believers should start practicing with harpoons because after the rapture, there will be lots of “whaling and gnashing of teeth.” Ha! Makes me kinda sorry I’m gonna miss it!

Hi Tsh!
I am currently reading Coal River, a book about the fight against Mountain top Removal….a very interesting and infuriating read. I have to take it in doses! Also, for fun I’m reading/listening to the second book of the Twilight series….book candy;)

BTW, I went on Inukbook and uploaded some pics, very easy and straightforward, but when I enter the promotion code, it says you need at least one member on the book for the coupon to apply. I went on Live Chat, very quick and helpful, and was told that you *have* to invite someone in order to redeem the code. Not a problem, but thought you might like to let your readers not that inviting is a requirement.

Thanks for all the work you do on these giveaways! Can’t wait to give away some stuff myself!

Great deal! I am loving this blog as you seem to be on the same type of home-management idea that I follow. I feel like an odd-ball sometimes so its nice to find this community of like-minded folks to learn from.

Could you clarify what type of digital scrapbook the free offer is for? (i.e. hardback or softback, any certain size?)

Add me to the contest. I’m always reading the Bible. I’m always reading blogs. :) I just finished “The Secret History.”

Blogs! There is so much festivity in “blogland” right now and as an amateur writer, I enjoy investigating the other writing styles out there. I have a 6-week old, so getting through a novel is just not in the cards for me at the moment. Plus, since I don’t get out of the house a whole lot right now, perusing my Google Reader every morning is a nice trip out-of-doors for me. I was also wondering how long this coupon code is good for as it seems like it will take a bit of time to put together the book and doing it today would be impossible for me.

I am currently reading “Feminine Appeal” – a book about the Titus 2 qualities of a mother and wife.

I hadn’t heard of this site either. I will definately check it out. I just picked up Nora Roberts Northern Lights. I needed something light this time. So far, a pretty good book.
