I love, love, love this book too. I keep telling people about it and no one seems to remember it. I'm glad to know that I'm not crazy. I like your ideas, and just discovered your blog through this guest post and I'm looking forward to checking it more often. We're making rosemary bread for dinner tomorrow night!

That was one of my favourites too (and my brothers' & sister's). We need to work on our son's reading comprehension and this looks like a great fun way to do it. Thanks.

That book is my all-time favorite. I don't have kids, but I gift it to friends whenever they have a baby shower. It is a necessity :)

Marie, this was a great post that resonated with me because my son, 4, so enjoys story time with his Dad. My wife and I alternate reading to our son and daughter, and my son seems to get such a kick out of books when I read them because I make silly voices, faces, etc.

I love the idea of working on a craft or drawing based on his favorite book - that's something we will definitely try! I look forward to following through to your website for more ideas.

I loved that story as a child too, and I actually still have it. How fun to build on the story, making learning fun.
