Menu Plan Monday – Looooow Maintenance Grub

in food & drink

Easy peasy, Japaneezy. That’s the theme for this week’s menu because my inlaws are still in town, we’re still out of the house sightseeing for much of the day, and heck, I’ve still got a three-month-old.

MONDAY: chicken pot pie

TUESDAY: carbonara

WEDNESDAY: stir fry (our Wednesday night staple)

THURSDAY: veggie red beans & rice

FRIDAY: homemade pizza (our Friday night staple)

SATURDAY: chicken broccoli soup

SUNDAY: jambalaya

While we’re on the topic of menus, I thought I’d let my readers know I’ve got something up my sleeve about menu planning. I love to plan our dinner menus one month at a time. But I’m thinking – what about doing an entire season? As in, summer? And then giving you the option of getting in on it with me through… well, this Idea I have. But I don’t want to give it away just yet. Stay tuned.

What’s your family eating this week? Is it simple enough to keep you sane and balanced? I hope so. Check out Organized Junkie for more menu ideas.

We have a very basic but family friendly meal plan for this week too.

I love your simple menu for the week. Isn’t it wonderful to be able to have easy things to fall back on. I too plan for the month. Planning for a season is an interesting idea though. I don’t know if I’d be able to stick with it for that long, but it’s definitely something to consider. I’ll be back to find out more about your idea.

Chicken Pot Pie sounds soooo good! :-)

Ooh, it is, Dawn. It’s a very easy recipe, really, because it’s a pseudo pot pie. There’s no crust, just a biscuit topping. But man, is it good. We have it about twice a month at our home.
