I was reading another site, and the lady there put a spring of rosemary in the bottle (or sometimes a cinnamon stick) to make it smell better to her. She said this worked for her...I however have not tried this yet. I just started this with the recipe given, and have been using it for about a month. I have not noticed any loss of color from my dyed hair...but my hair is a bit dry and has a lot of static just like it had before I started using the no poo. Here is to hoping for little bit of the oil everyone is talking about.

I use the lemon juice instead of vinegar.

I also have a hard time with tangles as I have long thick curly hair. So I DO still use a conditioner after. If I don't it is impossible to get a comb through! So far I have yet to find a natural recipe for conditioner. If you find one let me knwo!

I'm a hairdresser and can't agree wit you more on "poo-less". One thing I would like to add in case there are school aged children around...if you add a
little bit of Tea Tree Oil to the final rinse regime, much like apple cider/water rinse, lice are repelled from the hair.Clean healthy hair is what they are attracted to,therefore no chemicals (as in styling products)means safe place for louse to lay their nits. Tea Tree Oil is a natural, safe and organic way to repel them.

I would love to be poo-free... but am not sure that using gel and hairspray could also be eliminated. Anyone have experience with this? From what I am reading, I may not even need to use styling products. Imagine the savings?? Wow!
