We have only lived here about 8 months, but we’re loving settling in for our first Christmas at our home here in the desert of Phoenix. Today I’m sharing a look inside our house to give you a peek at how we decorated for Christmas this year. Come on in!
I love our simple felt wreath (found on Etsy last year).
I’m a big fan of tinsel trees, we have 5 of these on our front stoop.
Most of our decor is vintage (or vintage inspired) or handmade or both! This Christmas card holder was my grandmother’s.
We don’t have a mantel, so had to get a bit creative this year and made a “tree” out of twinkle lights, finger knitted garland and gold tinsel. The handmade banner was a gift last year.
I picked up this bottle brush vintage wreath at an antique market.
Our baby girl needs a pink tree, and I found this one for a dollar at Goodwill.
I have never been into the snow village thing before, but this year we inherited this big piece that is fiber optic and glowy. I fell in love with the miniature-ness, and can’t wait to add to the collection each year.
These bottle brush vintage trees are so fun (color blocking!), I have collected 4 so far — and they match the wreath!
This gold nativity is from Russia, and is made of clay.
It’s no secret my favorite Christmas decoration is my vintage tinsel tree. I love to put all our vintage, handmade and kid-made ornaments on it. I’m not a purist, the more mish-mashed the better! This year my boys made a pink finger-knit garland. We have a big color wheel that turns and lights it up at night.
Some of our handmade ornaments made by my great-grandmother.
I’m linking up today at the Nester’s place, along with Tsh and Aimee. Have you shared a tour of your Christmas decor?

I love the vintagey-ness of it all! So very you. And I love that little village! I’m with you; I’ve never found one I like or have the space for it, but that one is super fun.

This snowy village changes colors and glows like it’s Christmas on Ice or something – but in a quiet way (heh.) so I adore it
I’m not gonna lie. I am all kinds of jelly over your tinsel tree and nativity.
I wish for every person who wants a tinsel tree to have one! Scour the flea markets and random antique malls until you have one, m’dear. xoxo
Oh, I loved this! Your trees everywhere – so fun and, yes, I agree with Tsh: you’re home is so very YOU! Bright, colorful, happy
Merry Christmas, Ari!

There’s so much familiar comfort here!! As an AZ girl born and bred your house is how I grew up! And we have very similar ornaments to those your grandmother made! We also have some corn husk angels!
Thanks for sharing!

I’ve been thrifting for our holiday decor and then mixing it with pine cones and other natural elements that my kids are collecting outside. Love the bottle brush trees!

I have the same tinsel tree I picked up 10 years ago at a yard sale for like $6.00. It is my favorite thing to put up every year, along with a vintage red felted reindeer and a perfectly aged santa. I believe we have very similar taste! Merry Christmas my friend!
