This giveaway is now closed. The winner is Melissa Walker – congratulations!

The first giveaway today is from Choffy. What is Choffy, you may ask?
Oh my word. I love this stuff. Choffy is like coffee, but it’s actual 100% organic cacão beans (also known as cocoa beans), roasted to perfection. In other words, Choffy is brewed chocolate.
Yes, you read me correctly.

Choffy is not only tasty, it’s healthy. All the antioxidant value, mineral benefits, neurotransmitter rejuvenating properties, and overall health-giving qualities are found naturally in cacão beans. No sugar, no dairy, no chemicals. Just one ingredient – cacão.
In other words, this is healthy chocolate you can drink.
Cacão Beans Are Extraordinarily Nutritious
Here are just a few of the health benefits of Choffy.

Theobromine: This gentle, yet long-lasting, stimulant provides you with a healthy energy lift by dilating the cardiovascular system, making the heart’s job easier. Theobromine does not affect the nervous system; therefore, it delivers energy without a crash, like one of the negative effects of caffeine.
Antioxidants: By weight, cacão contains the highest concentration of antioxidants of any food in the world – more than red wine, blueberries, açai, pomegranates, and goji berries combined. Choffy acts as a super-detoxifier, helping your body rid itself of the toxins that tax your system.
Magnesium: Cacão appears to be the best source of magnesium of any food. Magnesium is one of the great alkaline minerals, helping to support the heart, brain, and digestive system. In addition, magnesium balances brain chemistry and builds strong bones.
Iron: Cacão contains a significant amount of iron per serving. Iron, a critical mineral in nutrition, is part of the oxygen carrying protein called hemoglobin that keeps our blood healthy.
Choffy is Easy to Brew
I love coffee, and Choffy hasn’t replaced it. But it is a new drink we now enjoy in our family, and many people who don’t drink coffee have said that they do enjoy Choffy.
A commonly asked question is whether you can order the beans whole and grind them like you would coffee beans. The answer is no, because the cacão bean has unique properties that make it very difficult to grind. Choffy uses a special commercial grinder that has been developed to grind the bean to the proper consistency.
The Choffy website is very helpful, and includes brewing instructions, health information, and a simple ordering process.

One reader will win two 12-ounce bags of Choffy – one from Nicaragua, and one from Ivory Coast. Here are these beans’ descriptions:
Nicaruagua: Savory, meaty, mouth watering and straight forward. A very pleasant earthy aroma, with very little astringency. Coffee-like aroma and taste with a hint of sweet spice and soft woods.
Ivory Coast: Nice depth of flavor with hints of light natural grains, dark spice with little and a classic earthy chocolate flavor.

Just last week my doctor suggested I start eating dark chocolate to lower my blood pressure. Woohoo! If I gave up coffee and drank choffy instead, wow, imagine how relaxed I’d be. Sounds healthy AND fantastic.
This stuff sounds very interesting! I like that it’s full of antioxidants.

IT’S THE CHOCOLATE!
… because… I am woman… hear me roar!
What do you mean, leave a comment about which feature of Choffy sounds most appealing to you…? It’s LIQUID CHOCOLATE! What more is there to say??!!
Nutritious, drinkable chocolate?! I’m in love.
Actually, the high iron appeals to me – I just found out I’m iron deficient, so tasty ways to get iron sound great!

I love the idea of this delicious-sounding drink being packed with antioxidants…the awesome little toxin-fighters we need to keep clean and cancer-free. Would absolutely love to win, as would my husband.
The most appealing thing to me is that I can enjoy it in the morning like coffee, but be happier because it is actually chocolate! Can’t wait to try it.
“Healthy” & “Chocolate” in the same sentance is the best news I’ve heard all day!!
Phrasing chocolate and healthy together always gets me going!
It gives you a healthy energy lift. I need to get away from the Mt. Dew. I often turn to it “thinking” it will give me an energy lift but I really know that it only does the opposite.
This sounds great! I don’t do coffee and get tired of tea at times. And who doesn’t love chocolate?
Thanks for all the giveaways!

What’s not to love? Drinkable, healthy chocolate. Energy without the crash. It sounds perfect! I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this stuff before!
It’s Chocolate! And healthy too?? I can feed my need for chocolate and feel good about it too. Not that I ever feel that guilty but I can really feel GOOD about it? It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.
There’s only one ingredient and it’s healthy – how awesome!
One thing? Oh, so difficult. Um, the chocolateness?
Michelle´s last blog post…Quick Stuff
The non-crash feature is most appealing to me. Nothing is worse than the 2 o’clock crash in the middle of work when it is just about too late in the day to have more caffeine.
You had me at chocolate
Chocolate? You can drink? And it’s good for you? I am SO in. On a geekier note, my mom has early onset Alzheimer’s and anti-oxidants are supposed to be helpful in preventing it. Since my genes are stacked against me, I need all the anti-oxidant help I can get!

No chemicals! That’s what I need.
It just sounds fascinating… and yummy! It would be a great addition to our hot drinks–yummy, healthy, sugar free…
antioxidents!
Wow, this sounds interesting and good! Ditto on the love of coffee and chocolate. I probably drink too much coffee, so I’m thinking this could be a good alternative sometimes. I love all the antioxidants too!
The most appealing feature to me is the high levels of antioxidants which make it a super-detoxifier.
Actually, who am I kidding? it’s BREWED CHOCOLATE! What more could you need??
I am allergic to caffiene, but love coffee so this sounds like a good alterative. Thank you! I will be checking out the website.
Chocolate anything is good and I love the idea of heart healthy!
The most appealing part of Choffy is that it is CHOCOLATE – nuff said!
wow, chocolate you can drink, ….that’s what is so appealing!
I love that it’s already ground! I buy whole bean coffee. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stood before the pot in the morning contemplating: Grind coffee and wake up baby? Sit here uncaffeinated but in sweet peace?
I would love to try brewed chocolate! So healthy and delicious sounding!
The most appealing part? ALL of it!
definitely the caffeine part. and the chocolate part. and the part about caffeine …
Okay, I admit it, I am a Chocolate addict!
pasta with sauce simmered with chicken all day, garlic bread and caesar salad
Most appealing to me: the fact that it has so many antioxidants!
I would love to have another brewed drink to try. I regularly drink a cup of coffee in the morning. I have a can of teeccino for the days that I want hot drinks all day long but have already had my limit for coffee. Choffy sounds so good.
Chocolate+coffee=pure heaven.
I love the antioxidant factor.

I get migraines from coffee, and while I like tea, this sounds like another great alternative… especially since it’s chocolate!
What is there not to like?!?!? Roasted. Chocolate. Beverage. Yum!! I thought coffee was as good as it gets. Not any more. I am dying to try this!!
Chocolate I can drink? Sign me up!
Very cool that it is healthy too… so I can justify drinking a lot of it.
I can’t wait to try it!
The antioxidants it has in it….and I love coffee and chocolate, so this sounds like a great alternative to all the coffee I drink.
Chocolate is always a plus. Healthy coffee is even better!
You had me hooked at “chocolate you can drink” !!!!! I love chocolate of all kinds and to get it straight from the bean would be heavenly!
Oh, the feature I like best is that it’s Chocolate!
Krys´s last blog post…am i as good as i think i am?
The scents you described are the most appealing feature to me, but, hello! Chocolate! That’s all you really needed to say!
The chocolate, of course!!
Which aspect of Choffy sounds appealing?? Which part doesn’t? Liquid chocolate without all the fuss of making hot cocoa!
Tsh, thanks for the opportunity to enter this giveaway! I’ve long wondered why there isn’t more crossover between chocolate and coffee. Why don’t we see coffee butter and coffee bars, and why don’t we brew chocolate the way we do coffee? You’ve given a little bit of insight into this by mentioning the bean characteristics as concerns grinding. Cool!
Anyway, the feature of Choffy that sounds most appealing to me is the taste. I’d love to experience the taste of chocolate delivered in the same manner as coffee. My only disappointment would be that I couldn’t experience it with freshly ground beans! Ground coffee loses so much of its flavor after just a couple hours.
Good news for you then about the lack of fresh ground Choffy. Due to the massive amounts of antioxidants in Choffy, the grinds taste as fresh 6 months after being roasted and ground as they do when they are fresh roasted. In some cases it is even better because the acids in the bean mellow out a little making it slightly smoother.
I hope you enjoy it.

Choffy sounds delicious, and like a great alternative to coffee. Also, since choffy does not have the same stimulate properties as coffee, it may be a good treat for my coffee crazed kids.

The chocolate part – of course!
The best part? Chocolate! Also, maybe I can pretend it’s coffee, and thus cut down on my coffee intake.
Wow Choffy sounds all around delicious! The most attractive feature to me is the nutrients! It is hard to find something yummy that is also healthy!
Amanda´s last blog post…Clay – like play-doh for adults.
Sounds yummy! I like the idea that it is healthy.
The most appealing feature would have to be that it has more antioxidant power than anything else added with the taste of chocolate.
Love the health benefits, more iron, less caffeine. And I love to try new things! Will be interested to see how the cost compares to coffee.
It’s chocolate – ’nuff said.
Wow – chocolate that is good for you!! How cool is that?? I love that it has Theobromine to help give you energy. I certainly could use that right now!

Drinking chocolate. That sounds very good.
Choffy acts as a super-detoxifier, helping your body rid itself of the toxins that tax your system.
I would love to try this. I think you summed it up with “healthy chocolate you can drink”.
Eric, thanks — that’s good to know.
I love that it’s “healthy chocolate you can drink.” I feel like I drink gallons of hot chocolate and I always feel so unhealthy doing it. Maybe if I switch to Choffy I’d feel better about my afternoon warm up/pick me up.
Roasted Chocolate… I’m intrigued by the roasted part and would love to try this. Thanks!!!
Oh. My. Goodness.
I love that it’s healthy and bound to be tasty and cozy for the winter! LOVE it!

I like that it’s caffiene-free, but still gives a little lift.
CHOOOOOCOLATE!!!!!! Enough said.
I like that it is healthy chocolate drink with nothing but cacao-simple and pure.

Wow, what’s not to love, chocolate you can drink and with all the health benefits as well. Sign me up!
I like the frou-frou coffees from starbucks, but they are too expensive to get regularly, so I’d love to find something I can brew at home that is not as bland as plain old coffee. Too much doctoring necessary for it to be drinkable for me!!
I’m very sensitive to caffeine and avoid it if at all possible, so this sounds like a great coffee alternative for me— plus it’s CHOCOLATE!
