This giveaway is now closed. Check back on July 4 for the winner!
Welcome to the Simple Living Media Summer Block Party! We’ve got 20 giveaways across the entire network this week to give you plenty of chances to win!
The final giveaway we have on Simple Mom is Plan to Eat, a genius little online program that pretty much does everything for you but actually cook your meals. And before too long, they’ll probably figure out a way to do that, too.
Plan to Eat is a simple tool that allows you to store your favorite recipes (and import them from around the Internet!), create menu plans using those recipes, and even provide grocery lists based on those same recipes.
You can share recipes with others on Plan to Eat, you can organize your grocery lists by store, and you can tag your recipes in infinite ways. You can even track nutritional information and cost breakdown of all of your recipes and menus! And for those of you that love going paperless, you can use Plan to Eat’s mobile app to carry all your menu planning with you. No more accidentally leaving the house without your grocery list.
My favorite feature? How astonishingly simple it is. Its clean interface allows for intuitive interaction — it took me mere seconds to get my account up and running, and I had my weekly menu plan created in minutes.
Take a tour of Plan to Eat to learn about more of its features… I’m still finding new ones!
(Oh, and Plan to Eat’s new spokesperson and blogger is Simple Mom columnist Mandi Ehman of Organizing Your Way… I think that’s cool, too.)
Three Simple Mom readers will win a one-year membership to Plan to Eat!

Usually when we need something quick to eat it’s mac n cheese with whatever pasta I have in the house and I add a can of chicken to it. If that’s not an option it’s spaghetti and a nice salad.
My favorite on-the-go dinner is pasta with a creamy butter sauce and steamed veggies.

I always have spaghetti sauce frozen, so my last-minute meal is spaghetti and a frozen vegetable side-dish. But on the REALLY crazy nights, I have sometimes put out cereal.
I always have whole wheat tortillas in the fridge. If we need a quick meal I make a quick quesadilla with cheese and veggies. If we have leftover chicken, that can get thrown in too. Kids love it.

And actually i was just saying to my husband the other day how cool it would be to design a program that works just for meal planning and grocery listing! so this is very cool.

My fav is soft tacos. We always have tortilla shells and ground beef, almost always have cheese and sour cream, occasionally have lettuce and salsa, and I keep a bag of the AllRecipes Taco Seasoning II recipe in the pantry.
It’s probably not the healthiest of recipes (although sometimes we’ll bulk it up with rice and corn), but it’s quick and easy, and always a hit!

I found a recipe called Spanish Rice and Sausage Skillet on our local grocery store’s website, although I think it was originally published by Kraft. The greatest thing about this meal is that if you watch for the sausage to go on sale this meal is INCREDIBLY budget friendly.
grilled cheese is a popular option at our house!
