Remember Joovy, the company giving one of you a stroller? Well, they’ve got something else for you this week — their new highchair, the Nook. This bad boy is a sleek, sophisticated highchair with one of the best features you can ask for in a baby product — it folds down to nearly nothing.
I normally stick to just a travel highchair that you secure on top of a regular chair. But the Joovy Nook is so compact, you can store it out of sight, and it’s pretty much just as easy to travel with as a traditional travel highchair.
See what I mean?
The “leatherette” chair is incredibly soft, and even the solid white chair I was given is impeccably easy to clean. It has a great design aesthetic, which I think is important — I’m not a big fan of baby products that look, well, babyish. This works perfectly in our kitchen.
The Nook is also easy to clean and it’s easy to get your kiddo down — the tray swings open so that you don’t have to mess with putting a messy tray somewhere.
In my opinion, the one caveat is that it works a bit better for a toddler than a baby, only because the tray isn’t adjustable. However, this is minimal, because with the five-point harness, a little one can still be strapped in securely and reach for her food on the tray.
All in all, this is a very cool highchair.

Hmm, the messiest meals my toddler eat would have to be spaghetti! And I am sure most moms would agree!! It gets in the hair, on the floor, and sometimes even the wall somehow!!

My daughter gets the messiest at every meal-she is just starting baby fruits and veggies and spits it back out at me! I finally realized that she needs to eat in only a diaper if I ever want her to have unstained clothes again!
Who knew so much purple could come from a fruit that is green on the inside! Blueberries sure pack a lot of messiness into their tiny plump selves. Especially when our Peyto eats with her fingers, nose, cheeks, and ears, as well as mouth!
It’s a like for joovy and a like for simple mom because love was not an option!

The meal that our new one is most messy eating is the one she’s just had: her first! My wife and I have learned a great deal from this website in preparation for parenthood, which came in the form of little Eloise on Tuesday evening. With great delight, my wife’s milk has just come in and little Eloise is eating like the champ that she is and will become. We love the site and would love the chair as well!

My daughter’s messiest meal a tie between mac and cheese and pasta with sauce. From getting it all over her mouth and hands to those little noodles not wanting to stay on her spoon or fork, I know I will have a mess to clean up. But those are two of her favorites so I continue to serve them.

The messiest thing my one year old daughter eats in cheese grits. She prefers to feed them to herself, alternating between her hands and a spoon. By the time she is done they are everywhere and have dried to a cement-like consistency!

i guess the question is…what meal is not messy??? i would say any type of pasta (the red sauce and noodle kind) is messy…but when they are 2 and 7mos, it is usually all a mess!
Good morning! Baby is getting ready for solids – and he would love this! So not much mess yet, but I can see him getting super excited for his bananas and we end up with more all over this awesome chair than in his cute little mouth… ;-D
