I‘m a new contributer over at Blissfully Domestic. My department? Blogging. I’ll be writing my overflowing wealth tiny bit of knowledge on the subject, everything from writing effective posts, to networking in the blogosphere, to blog designs that pack punch.

My first post about defining your blog’s niche is up, and I’ll be posting there around once a week.

Here’s the kicker – I need your help! Do you have any blogging questions? Are there things you want explained in a normal, non-geeky way? Please let me know! Either comment on my post over there, leave a comment here, or feel free to contact me here.

I promise you I don’t know everything, and I’m very much a self-learner, but I do want to be a resource for you. Blissfully Domestic is expanding to a whole new magazine, and it will be relaunching soon – I’m happy to be a small part of that. And I’d love to help point you in the right bloggy direction!

Awesome! Congrats on the new gig. Check out my “Be a Blogger” series for some topic ideas. I started documenting the process of creating a blog not long after I began the journey myself. I’m looking forward to your posts at Blissfully Domestic.

How about time management for blogging? How you prioritize your time with responding to comments, visiting other blogs, and writing your own content. I like blogging, but if I’m not careful it can take up way too much time and I want to strive for balance.

yes, so many questions…. as a newbie blogger, i’m trying to figure out what exactly it is that i want to accomplish- i have a lot of thoughts, but having a hard time making a plan… i guess my question would be if you had three things that each blog should have- what would they be?

thanks again for all the great resources and encouragement!
God Bless you and congrats!

2 questions: how do you cross out the words you’ve typed (as you did in this post)? and i installed a stat counter on my blog and it stopped working, now i can’t figure out how to fix it, even with the site’s direction. i’m a computer novice.

1. How can I get a custom looking header w/o having to pay a designer
2. How do you put custom frames around your pictures (like in this post) and how do you give credits to the photos you use…say from flickr
3. How do you decide which rss feed to use on your blog
4. Why would you (or not) use technorati or de.lic.ious on your blog
5. What are some of the new widgets that are available and helpful

Looks like I’ll be checking you out Blissfully Domestic!

I second every single one of Julie’s questions.
Also, if you are just blogging to write and to build a memory for/of your family, how do you retain your own voice in the din of blogs out there? How do you choose your audience instead of being swept into a trend by the sheer force of the BLOGOSPHERE. ;-) It’s still a nascent form of expression, so as it evolves I’d like to use it to express myself rather than to write for some imaginary host of critics, fans, bots or future readers.

I guess that’s more of a writing technique question, but I’d love to hear what you think.

What’s the deal on Carnivals or Festivals and the like? How to enter? How they work? What’s the point? Etc.

Thank you so much for sharing your questions, everyone! It gives me an exact idea of what topics I should focus on.

Feel free to add any more here as you think of them! I’ll check these comments regularly.
