This might qualify more as mischievious than funny, but it makes me laugh. Yesterday morning we woke up to find our home a frigid 51 degrees. Thankfully our furnace wasn't broken, but our 3-year-old is just tall enough to reach the thermostat and pull the adjustor level down. My 4 yo plays puppets with her feet and baby doll clothes. I have no idea how she thought of it but it cracks me up every time (I don\’t let her see me laughing so she continue to creative play)

I love Baby Blues!! What a fun giveaway.

My daughter, age 2 1/2, was recently looking at a deer antler we had found in the woods. “What’s this, Mommy?” she asked. “A deer antler,” I replied. “Oh!” she exclaimed. “From a MOOSE?!” It doesn’t look as funny written out, but I cracked up when she said it.

I can’t remember if this was in the last week or not, but it’s definitely a recent one… my four-year-old daughter and I were having a discussion about childbirth after watching a show on TV, and her impatience at becoming a mommy suddenly overwhelmed her – at which point she threw her hands up in the air, looked at the ceiling, and exclaimed with all the prayer power she could muster, “Grow me, God! Grow me into an adult!”

I brought pink frosted cookies with rainbow sprinkles for my daughter’s kindergarten class to celebrate her birthday last week. The kids usually get saltines or graham crackers for snacks, so this was a treat. As the children took their first bites, one boy said, “These are from Target, they’re really good.” Another boy said, “These taste like Target!”

My son’s kindergarten teacher was reading a book about the life of Martin Luther King Jr. When she read the page about him getting married, my son raised his hand and asked, “he loved his mom, so how could he get married?”

This past week, we were in Chicago-Midway airport, and I had my three year old with me in the bathroom. As is standard for me, I, um, “hover” if you will, over the toilet seat (it is an airport…). My daughter says, in what could not have been a louder voice, “Mommy, someday I want to pee standing up just like you!” I waited until I was certain most of the people around us had left before we bee-lined it out of the bathroom stall!!
