I feel rather like a chicken with my head cut off, so much have we had going on this week. I’ve been reminded how much we Americans rely on busy schedules to feel productive. I’m enjoying so much of my home culture, but busyness is not one of those things.
This means I haven’t had a ton of time to read other blogs this week. But I did score a few gems:

Hmm. I can tell you that I just discovered Happy-sacks (www.Happy-sacks.com) which are great reusable sacks to tote sandwiches and snacks in. They come in cute designs too.

Shameless self promotion here – I’ve been blogging about eating healthy on a budget. We eat mostly organic and stick to a tough food budget. I share some tips in some of the older posts. Current posts are sketchy at best – I’m working 12-16 hour days right now finishing a big project.

Thanks for the fantastic opportunity! My blog, Deal Seeking Mom, is mainly devoted to saving money and stretching your budget, which is an important aspect of frugality. I look at frugality as a relative term. Everyone is free to choose which areas they are willing to cut back in either so they can build their savings or so they can spend more in areas that are important to them personally.

We have a little shoe in my family filled with buttons. It was my Meemaw’s and was passed down to me. It’s a delicate thing made of milk glass and it used to sit on her vanity. I played with it every time I went to her house. Now it sits on my vanity and it will one day sit on my daughters. She’s already started collecting her own buttons.
