I'm an Army Brat and we must have moved a hundred times (it seems so at least!). The worst move times were moving overseas and we had to wait a month or so for our household goods to arrive, but my mom always made sure we had something to entertain us (oh if only hand-held gaming devices were around back then!). I'm sure my mom had moving down to a science after the first few times, but there are a few items on your list that I wouldn't have thought to include/bring on the trip. Nicely done! GREAT list! Me & my husband have both owned a home (as single people). I moved to his house when we got married 6mths ago. Due to the size, half of my stuff is still at my old house. We're closing on a new house and will essentially have to move two homes . So, I decided to google this topic. Thank you so much for putting it out there. For those who believe in God don't get so tired on the first night that you forget to pray for removal of any negativity from the previous owners. And peace and happiness for you in your new home.
