Our new favorite activity too for winter time boredom is painting with water on the chalkboard easel! My daughter loves this and will spend an hour straight just painting with water, drying the board, and starting all over! Looking forward to trying some of your ideas as well! Thanks for sharing!

We had a beige carpet in my home and in the winter time, I got out my son’s beach toys, rocks and sea shells and we would sit and play beach for hours. I also have a BIG roasting pan and fill it with water and rubber ducks, frogs, etc. and play duck pond. And our idea of treasure hunt is taking the BIG roasting pan and filling it with uncooked rice and dried beans and other objects such as coins, a toy car, something small that can be hidden in the rice and beans and then searching for it, also a good activity for children who have texture sensitivity issues.
